San Francisco

I know, I know...it's been a long time since my trip but here we go. May 7-11, 2009
The plane ride...amazing clouds!

I had a great time. We went shopping at The Haight, we watched the movie MILK which was based out of San Francisco and then went to the CASTRO where it all took place. it was amazing!!! We even saw the suit Harvey was murdered in. We even went to the California Academy of Sciences. So here are some pictures.

Albino alligator
The Painted Ladies
Dart Frogs

My friend Ron

S.F. had some funny signs too:

Here are some videos too:

This blue lizard was walking all around the place until I started to record him and then he stopped...must have been camera shy.

There is a sea horse video but it wouldn't load but it has a funny sorry because some woman (who didn't work there) decided to tell me that I couldn't take the video. I kind of got a little nasty with her and told her my flash was not on. If she continued...I think I would have---who was she anyway, the video police?

I want to go back...I could totally see myself as a San Francisco boy. There was more I would like to see so I'm hoping one of these days I'll get another invitation to return.

AC Aquarium

It was one of those last minute things and my brother and his family decided to go to the Atlantic City Aquarium and asked me to go with them. it was educational and a very small aquarium (only two small floors), you could see the whole thing in less than an hour. the highlight was when a speaker came out and showed us live animals (a few we could pet and others we couldn't pet). it was a nice day out but here are some of the things we saw while we were there:

I was going to add some exciting videos but for some reason (again) they won't upload and it's really frustrating. I don't feel like calling the HOST to find out why. Oh well!

Kissing Fish?

So after I had lunch today at The Italian Gourmet with Sue (hope you're feeling better Nicole), I decided to get my oil changed. The "local" place I was going to go was tooooooo crowded so I decided to go to JiffyLube. First I went to the Entenmann's "outlet" and I got four cakes for $5.00 (I'll freeze some). Anyway, as I was waiting for my car to get done, I noticed the fish tank and this is what I saw:

Now I don't think they were fighting because their fish lips actually touched. It was so cute so that I video taped it to share with you.

I'd love for you to video tape yourselves doing your best impression of "fish lips" and send them over to me and I'll post them. GOOD TIMES and don't forget to comment. :o)

Birthdays 2009

Well it's been a while now since i've written anything and as of recently i have a lot of free time on my hands so i will start today.

Every year the four of us get together to celebrate our birthdays. Nicole turned 32, Gina Marie hit a milestone with the big 3-0 and myself 39. here are some of the highlights:

I was going to add a few videos of Gina's party but for some reason they won't upload.

Also for some reason we never took any pictures at Nicole's Wii/birthday party at her house.

We went to the Olive Garden for my birthday...

Plus as an annual tradition, Nicole has made me her own personal Happy Birthday video:

As always, thanks for a great time and being the best friends ever!!!

YouTube Night

My brother Ron, his girlfriend Kim and her daughter Ashley came over to my home on Sunday night because Ashley needed some help with her Ipod and she just happens to like some of my music. Songs like Britney Spears "Womanizer", Kanye West "Heartless", Usher "Yeah!" just to name a few. My brother got a hold of my Ipod and didn't put it done most of the night because he loved the music on it. Music from our time. LOL!

So then we decided to play Wii except it didn't work. The lights were working but the remotes wouldn't work. After half an hour we realized that the remote needed to be synced. I don't know why it didn't work, maybe because I traveled my Mii to Nicole's house and used my remote there, anyway we got it to work and played a few games. My brother was so into my Ipod that he broke out in song:

and then this:

As I was showing Kim the videos (2) I posted on YouTube, Ashley and Ron were like I want to make one. I can't figure out how to put it on here so I attached a link:

Melting Pot/Snow Storm

March 1, 2009, the meteorologists were forecasting a storm with a lot of snow starting late in the evening. I decided to take advantage of a free room I had at Bally's Casino. As I am delaying get ready, my friend Shelly messages me because she saw a comment status I left on facebook that said something like: Bob ...someone save me and take me out...i'm off sunday. It happened to be the start of Restaurant Week. She asked me if I wanted to go somewhere and I was definitely in. We first agreed on Buddakan in The Pier at Caesars but they didn't start their "specials" until Monday, so that was out. Then we tried something else until I came across The Melting Pot. I had always wanted to eat there. So Shelly called and made a reservation for 4:30. When we arrived we decided to take a quick run to the Polo outlet which made us a little late for dinner. We didn't get there until around 4:55 but only had to wait 5 minutes for our table. The "special" was $33 and change for the 3 course dinner but they always try and get you to spend more when you get there. For example, we added another course for an additional $6 for the salad course. The dinner was AMAZING. It started with the cheese fondue, then the salad, then the main course and finished with the chocolate fondue dessert...we chose the chocolate smores...OMG everything was sooooooo good and we even had a martini. we ended up spending a lot more then we had orginally wanted but it was so worth it and I want to go again. The waiter was excellent, and I mean excellent. He made the whole experience that much more for our evening...Cameron was so cool!!!

Well as we were leaving the restaurant, the ground was already covered in snow so Shelly wound up staying at the hotel with me. We had a great time and ended up at the Bally's bar and each had a drink and a shot (those damn shots cost $17 for both). Yikes!
that's us having a drink and me wearing my new scarf I just bought at Polo...lol

It was a great time all around...Thanks for inviting me and I'm glad we've reconnected after all these years. Good Times and Good Friends...

Bingo

My father, brother, his girlfriend and myself decide to go to BINGO at the Trump Marina last night. The only reason we went was because each game you could win at least $1000 with the top prize at $3750 for the last game. It was packed. There were so many people they had to use three rooms. Now when the caller calls someone favorite number, they tend to do funny or weird things. Like when O 66 was called someone rang a bell. But the two funniest ones have got to be when the caller called O 54 or is it G 54 and a whole table sang "Car 54, Where Are You?". I laughed so hard. But the best was when B 8 was called and this spanish woman yelled "ocho Macarena" with the accent and all. It was hilarious and I so wanted that number to be called at every game but it was only called once.

Feeling the urge to play some BINGO now? I found a fun one at Games.com. The caller is a creepy old man but still fun. ENJOY!!!

Gumballs

So we get it all the time...Adults and kids come into the store just for the FREE gumballs.
First a bunch of Jewish kids came in and got some gumballs and started chewing them. One boy asked: "Are these Kosher?" "I'm sorry, they are not". With his hand opened at his waist in front of his belly, he opened his mouth and pushed the gum out while telling the other kids not to eat it. Well as they were leaving I found a piece of gum on the floor. I announced out loud in a stern voice "Is that a piece of gum on the floor?" I said it loud enough for the MOM to hear and she picked it up.

Then, a little fat boy came in and asked for a gumball...nothing odd until I went to visit a friend down the hall. Afterwards, I wanted to go get a Starbucks coffee. They know me so well in there and all I have to ask for is "The Usual" (a toffee nut frappicino with whipped cream). Anyway, I always take the stairs to the second level (better for the legs) and as I was going up, the little fat boy was going down the stairs. With a mouth full of gum he said to me "you look dumb"...WHAT?! I thought maybe he didn't like the scarf I was wearing. I then meanly said..."WHAT DID YOU SAY?" Trying to blow a bubble and talk at the same time he said it again "I like your gum". Now I felt bad so I was like..."okay...good" smiled and kept walking. I laughed about it...Good Times

Christmas 2008

Spending time with good friends of 15+ years is always good times. We didn't take our "group" picture this Christmas like we always do but here are two...As you can see with the shoe picture I was trying to learn my new camera...
I also took two videos of Chris and Nicole playing Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games...
I think it was the javelin throw:

HOW DOES IT GO HIGH?

Anyway, it was good times.
Merry Christmas 2008!!!
